Last year Lindsey saw that she needed help keeping up with the Silver Surfers. So for 2018, Lindsey brought in a photographer and an advance team (aka Paradise Homies) in preparation for the Silver Surfers. The advance team checks out possible locations for the Silver Surfers before they go.
One of their first visits was the Pololu Valley and accompanying hike. The highway ends at the trail head. There is a 15 to 20 minute hike down to the beach. It is a stunning view. However, the path can be muddy and slick. It can be quite a hike back up. Last year, the Silver Surfers had seen other people fall on the trail. (They feel that dirt on their pants would detract from the surfer’s over all coolness factor. ) The advance team went above and beyond and hiked to the top of another ridge for a total of a 5 mile hike. The advance team approved the Pololu Valley for the Silver Surfers but suggested that the Surfers defer the extended hike. The Surfers agreed with the suggestion as they have hiked this trail before. Just to be clear, the Silver Surfers have not yet made the 2018 hike.
The photographer did a great job documenting the advance team hike but the Surfers wonder when will the Silver Surfer pictures be available?
